Bachelor of Arts(B.A.) is an undergraduate course that is spread over three years.

Eligibility Conditions

A candidate who has passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination can get admission in the first year of three years degree course B.A. if he/she fulfils the following eligibility conditions:

  • An applicant must not be more than 23 years of age (25 years. in the case of female students) on 1-07-11. The upper age limit is relaxed by three years for SC/ST candidates.
  • The minimum percentage of marks for admission to the first year of B.A. is 33%.
  • If a candidate intends to take up Mathematics in B.A. He/she should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level and secured either 45% marks in Mathematics or 50% marks in aggregate.

Course structure for B.A.1st Year: Students of B.A. 1st Year have to take the following eight papers in the 1st year:

Note:The Main Subject will comprise two papers and the Other Subject will also comprise two papers. Therefore students of B.A. 1ST Year are required to take eight papers in all.
