Sexual Harassment Complaints & Redressal Committee

The Sexual Harassment Complaint and Redressal Committee is constituted to ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive and harassment-free environment for all students, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff and other members of the college community.
The Committee works towards prevention, awareness and effective redressal of complaints relating to sexual harassment in accordance with the applicable laws, rules and institutional guidelines.

Objectives

• To create awareness regarding sexual harassment and gender sensitivity.
• To provide a safe and confidential mechanism for reporting complaints.
• To protect the dignity, privacy and rights of complainants and respondents.
• To organize awareness programmes, sensitization sessions and related activities.
• To promote a respectful, inclusive and gender-sensitive campus environment.

Functions

• Receive and examine complaints relating to sexual harassment.
• Conduct the redressal process in a fair, impartial and confidential manner.
• Provide appropriate support and guidance to complainants.
• Recommend suitable action to the competent authority wherever required.
• Maintain proper records and documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
• Conduct awareness and sensitization programmes for students and staff.

Complaint Mechanism

Any student, employee or eligible member of the college community who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment may approach the Committee through the prescribed complaint mechanism.
All complaints shall be handled with due confidentiality and in accordance with the applicable legal and institutional provisions.

Awareness & Prevention

The Committee regularly promotes awareness through lectures, workshops, orientations, poster campaigns and other gender-sensitization activities to help create a safe and respectful campus for everyone.
