Internal Complaint Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the College has been constituted to provide a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and other members of the college community. The Committee works towards preventing and addressing complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace, in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, and institutional guidelines.

Objectives of the ICC

• To create awareness regarding prevention of sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination.
• To provide a safe and supportive environment for students and employees.
• To receive and address complaints of sexual harassment in a fair, confidential, and sensitive manner.
• To ensure that complaints are dealt with promptly and in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
• To organize awareness programmes, workshops, lectures, and sensitization activities.
• To promote gender equality, dignity, mutual respect, and an inclusive campus environment.

Functions of the Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee shall:

• Receive written complaints relating to sexual harassment.
• Provide appropriate assistance and guidance to complainants.
• Conduct inquiries into complaints in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality throughout the complaint and inquiry process.
• Recommend appropriate action based on the findings of the inquiry.
• Undertake preventive and awareness activities related to sexual harassment and gender sensitization.
• Maintain records and submit reports as required under the applicable provisions

Complaint and Redressal

Any student or employee who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment may approach the Internal Complaints Committee through the designated members/official contact mechanism of the College.
Complaints shall be handled with confidentiality, dignity, impartiality, and due regard for the rights of all parties.

Awareness and Sensitization

The ICC regularly undertakes activities such as:

• Gender sensitization programmes.
• Awareness lectures and workshops.
• Orientation and awareness sessions for students and employees.
• Campaigns promoting safe and inclusive campus spaces.
